Our journey at The Mobile STEaM Lab began back in 2016 with
a simple idea: to bring immersive STEAM/STEM education
directly to children in multiple communities.
What started as a passion for teaching a single subject evolved into
a multi-dimensional endeavor, fueled by the belief that every child
deserves access to quality education.
Embracing a pop-up model, we set out to transform any space into
a hub of learning; from public schools to botanical gardens and farms, as well as environmental centers. We can adapt to any venue!
Our approach goes beyond traditional teaching methods; it's about creating full-sensory experiences that ignite curiosity and foster critical thinking.
We integrate current issues facing our local, national, and global communities into our curriculum, empowering young minds to explore
real-world challenges through the lens of science, technology,
engineering, art, and maths.
With each program, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers, one hands-on lesson at a time.
At The Mobile STEaM Lab, our programs are more than just
educational experiences: they're transformative journeys designed
to uplift and empower children in the face of adversity.
With a focus on minimizing social, emotional, and academic setbacks,
we address the challenges of the past few years head-on, infusing
each session with excitement, fun, and purpose. From navigating
the chaos of the pandemic to bridging the gap left by educational disruptions like the "Common Core Disconnect" and "Summer Slip,"
we provide a supportive and engaging environment where
students can safely explore, learn, and grow.
Our project-based approach encourages collaborative
learning, fostering cooperative behavior and building
positive relationships among students.
Through hands-on activities and assignments, we nurture
creativity, boost confidence, and develop critical thinking skills,
empowering children to become innovative problem solvers.
Each program is meticulously crafted to incorporate aspects
of STEAM, promoting environmental stewardship and
sustainability while instilling a love for scientific inquiry.
With The Mobile STEaM Lab, every child has the opportunity to
thrive, discover, and succeed, one experiment at a time.
At The Mobile STEaM Lab, our leadership is driven by
Ms. Triscia, a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring
young minds through hands-on, experiential learning.
With over 18 years of experience in the public school system,
a Florida certification as a Master Naturalist, and a
New York State National Board Certification in Mathematics,
Ms. Triscia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our programs.
Holding teaching licenses in New York, Indiana, Illinois, and
Florida, she has taught a range of subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and STEM programs, cultivating a deep understanding
of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
As a partner of the University of Pennsylvania's Office of Outreach Education and Research, Ms. Triscia has contributed to the
development and adaptation of an innovative science
program, BioEyes, transforming it into an engaging and
immersive weeklong experience for children.
